Do Great Work.
Love Where You Work.
You spend a lot of your life at work. You should probably
like it there.
Stone Ave Vet is a busy, growing, independently owned veterinary hospital in Greenville, SC. We care deeply about practicing great medicine, creating better experiences for pets, and building a team where people can grow, speak up, laugh a lot, and still have a life outside of work.
We have high standards, and we’ll help you meet them. We keep learning. We change things when they aren’t working. We laugh a lot. We occasionally have to tell Dr. Ozment that there really isn’t room for one more appointment.
And we take care of each other.
Because we don’t think loving veterinary medicine should require giving up everything else you love.
We’re Building More Than a Vet Clinic.
Our clinic is busy and actively growing, but we’re not interested in building a culture where exhaustion is proof that you care. We want our team members to feel seen, heard, supported, and challenged to grow. We make time for training and professional development, listen to the people actually doing the work, and protect your ability to have a life when you leave the hospital.
Dr. Whitney Ozment leads with a whole lot of heart, a healthy appreciation for different opinions, and enough energy for approximately seven people. She loves her team fiercely and wants every person who works in veterinary medicine to have a path for growth.
Fear Free Changes How
We Work
Practicing this way requires patience, communication, flexibility, and a team that works really well together. Sometimes we slow down. Sometimes we change the plan. Sometimes we decide today just isn’t the day.
It may not always be the fastest way to practice veterinary medicine, but seeing a pet become more comfortable and confident with us is absolutely worth it.
We Want You To Grow Here.
Your education matters. Your skills matter. YOU matter.
We want every member of the Stone Ave team to have opportunities to learn, build skills, take on new challenges, and figure out what they want the next part of their career to look like.
Sometimes that means formal training.
Sometimes it means learning from the person standing next to you.
Sometimes it means sitting down and talking about where you want to go next. We make time for team development because investing in people isn’t something we squeeze in if the schedule happens to be quiet.
It’s part of building a great hospital.
Burnout isn’t a Benefit
We believe taking care of our team should include more than occasionally ordering lunch.
Benefits for eligible team members include:
- Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
- 401(k)
- Paid time off – including holidays
- Uniform allowance
- Continuing education reimbursement
- Professional training and opportunities for growth
- Team activities and social events
- Four day workweeks
- No nights
- No weekends
- No on call shifts
And a whole bunch of people who will absolutely stop what they’re doing to come look at the ridiculously cute puppy in Exam Room 2.
Some things can’t be quantified.
Think You Might Be One Of Our People?
Don’t wait. If the way we practice medicine sounds like the way you want to practice medicine, tell us about yourself!
