About Stone Ave Vet
Our Mission
At Stone Ave Vet, our mission is to take care of people by taking care of their pets. Focusing on how we can better serve our community and the needs of the animals around us informs every decision we make.
Stone Ave Vet – A Clinic and A Community
Stone Ave Vet was born out of a desire to build a veterinary hospital that would serve the community by providing the absolute best care for animals and their people. It has been our goal from the beginning to not just build a business, but to create a community that can give back to those around us. At Stone Ave Vet, we believe that we can provide the best care for your pet when we work together as long term partners in treatment and care. We have a genuine love for your pets and care for them and treat them as our own and we encourage you to be part of the team that cares for them. We hope that when you visit our clinic and meet our team, that you will feel part of our community.
You may also notice a few things that we do differently than other clinics you have previously visited. We put a strong emphasis on reducing fear and anxiety in our patients. It’s very important to us that your pets do not feel fear or stress when coming to visit us. We have made intentional design choices and spent a lot of time educating and training ourselves to provide care at our clinic using Fear Free handling.
Fear Free handling is an approach designed to minimize fear, anxiety, and stress in pets during medical procedures. The incorporates techniques and strategies to create a calm and positive experience for our four-legged friends, making veterinary visits more comfortable by fostering a positive relationship between pets and veterinary professionals.
We know that cats are not dogs! We love our cat friends and have designed cat specific spaces in our clinic to cater directly to our cat friends. We have a distinct cat treatment area designed to keep our feline friends happy and low stress! We love educating people on how we do things differently, so feel free to come in and ask lots of questions!
